Bicentennial

Eucharistic Congress

The Diocese of Richmond will convene its first-ever Eucharistic Congress on Friday, November 6 through Saturday, November 7 as the culmination of its bicentennial jubilee.

A Eucharistic Congress is a large-scale gathering of a local Church—bishop, priests, deacons, religious, and lay people—for the purpose of deepening our understanding and appreciation of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

The bicentennial Eucharistic Congress will be conducted virtually with some in-person elements, and will be open to people of all ages:

  • Mass livestreamed from historic St. Peter’s Church in Richmond
  • Eucharistic holy hour and procession livestreamed from the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and conducted in-person at parishes
  • Keynote speakers
  • Breakout sessions
  • Special tracks (Spanish, Vietnamese, children, youth, young adults, and persons with disabilities)

The Eucharistic Congress is free. More information is available at https://2020.richmonddiocese.org/participate/eucharistic-congress/.
